Second best scene in the movie. (The first was when she interrogated Loki without him realizing it XD)
Nah I’m sorry this is better than the Loki interrogation because she finds this whole thing so tedious and then she beats the crap out of them while tied to a chair.
This whole scene gave me childhood flashbacks to that scene in Charlie’s Angels where Drew Barrymore also kicks the shit out of a bunch of guys. And then moonwalks out of there! That was the day I stopped wanting to be a princess and started wanting to be an action hero. This bit renewed all of those feelings.
Okay, you make a really good point here. (And omg I loved Charlie’s Angels!)
I think the reason why I loved the interrogation scene so much, really, was less because she was awesome (though she was!) and more because I was impressed by the extreme emotional reaction the scene inspired in me. I mean, I’m a fairly cynical movie-goer. I’m rarely surprised by anything. So when Natasha was all, “YOU’RE A MONSTER ABOOBOOBOO” I was just about spitting with rage that they turned this badass spy into into an emotional weepy woman, which happens all the time in movies.
And then it turned out to be a ploy of hers and she was all calmly, “Thank you for your cooperation.” OH MY GOD. I was SO HAPPY that they didn’t ruin her character, and she totally outsmarted the god of lies that had all the inside info. Ugh. I just have all the happy feels about that scene. Talk about an emotional rollercoaster.
